LEONARDO RODRIGUEZ: Leonardo Rodriguez was born in Venezuela in 1969, the very year Neil Armstrong took his legendary "big step" for mankind. As an innocent boy, Leonardo began playing with design by damaging his mother’s books and fashion magazines whilst keeping secret his penchant for drawing naked women. He raised his profile by adding crayon portraits and caricatures of teachers to his repertoire. In the late 80s he left home to start his formal training as an artist in Caracas, leading up to going overseas at the end of the 20th century. He moved to Paris and finally settled in Spain where he now lives and works. He takes his inspiration from figurative artists as Paul Gauguin, Gustave Klim, Egon Schiele, V Van Gogh, Joaquin Sorolla, Armando Reverón, Edgar Sanchez, Norman Rockwell and others. He is still trying to discover human life on white paper…
